Information About The Parker Autism Foundation

• The Parker Autism Foundation is a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to serving NORTH CAROLINA (USA) children with autism spectrum disorders and their families
• Our goal is to raise funds to provide scholarships for services for those children who so desperately need the assistance but whose families cannot afford the often overwhelming cost associated with the therapies
• We believe that education of parents, family members and the community is critical
• We believe that every child with autism deserves the chance to succeed!

Background Information of PAF:
We opened our doors on January 1st, 2004 after both children of the PAF's Executive Director, were diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. Her youngest son, Parker, was diagnosed as having full-blown autism. After seeing symptoms in her older son, Dakota, she took him to a specialist who diagnosed him as having high-functioning autism. The impact of these diagnoses were devastating to her and she established the Foundation in honor of her sons' many difficult hurdles and successes.

• We provide many services including scholarship grants for therapy,camps and parent/therapist workshops.
• We also provide consultation and referral services, a lending library and so much more.
